Quit India Movement Celebration Classes VI–X

Himalaya Public School organised a programme to commemorate the Quit India Movement, with active participation from students of Classes VI to X. The programme aimed to familiarise students with the historical significance of the movement and to develop awareness of India’s freedom struggle, the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and the values of patriotism and national responsibility.

As part of the programme, age-appropriate activities were conducted for different classes:

  • Classes VI–VII: Students participated in poster-making and slogan-writing activities based on the theme of the Quit India Movement. These activities provided students with an opportunity to express their understanding of the movement creatively and effectively.
  • Class VIII: A quiz on the Quit India Movement was conducted in the classroom. The quiz tested students’ knowledge of important events, personalities, and historical facts associated with the movement. Photographs were also taken during the activity.
  • Classes IX–X: Students participated in an essay-writing activity on the Quit India Movement, encouraging them to explore its causes, significance, and contribution to India’s struggle for independence.

The programme was informative, engaging, and educational, providing students with meaningful opportunities to learn about an important chapter in India’s history. The activities successfully enhanced their historical knowledge while fostering a sense of patriotism, respect for the nation, and appreciation for the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle.
