A Pledge-Taking Ceremony on Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan was organised during the morning assembly at Himalaya Public Sr. Sec. School, Rohini, Delhi, with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging them to adopt a healthy, responsible and drug-free lifestyle.
The programme was graced by Brahma Kumari Sisters Sushma Ji, Savita Ji and Isha Ji, who addressed the students and motivated them to stay away from tobacco, alcohol, drugs and other addictive substances. They highlighted the physical, mental, emotional and social consequences of addiction and emphasised the importance of self-discipline, positive thinking and making healthy choices.
The students were encouraged to understand their responsibility towards themselves, their families and society. The sisters also stressed that awareness, strong determination and a positive environment can play an important role in preventing substance abuse among young people.
The highlight of the programme was the Nasha Mukti Pledge, which was taken collectively by the students and staff during the morning assembly. Through the pledge, everyone reaffirmed their commitment to remain free from intoxicating substances and to spread awareness about the dangers of addiction.
The ceremony concluded with a message of “Say No to Drugs, Choose Life and Stay Healthy.” The programme was informative, inspiring and effective in strengthening the school's commitment towards creating a drug-free and healthy campus.
Outcome:
The ceremony successfully sensitised students about the ill effects of substance abuse and encouraged them to make responsible choices and contribute towards a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
