Orientation Meeting Under the Sajag Pilot Project
An Orientation Meeting on Child Safety Week was conducted under the SAJAG Pilot Project with the objective of strengthening awareness and preventive measures related to child safety, protection and well-being.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Prashant Kumar (SP Prashant Kumar). The key areas discussed during the session included:
- Drug Awareness and Prevention
- Cyber Safety and Awareness
- NIRBHI Initiative
- NAJOOK Initiative
- Child Protection and Safety Measures
The session was addressed by Mr. Satish Kumar, Additional DCP, Rohini, who highlighted the importance of protecting children from drug abuse and cybercrime through awareness, preventive education and timely intervention.
Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Deputy Director, Zone 13, also addressed the gathering and emphasised the significant role of schools in creating a safe, supportive and child-friendly environment for students.
The following important initiatives and arrangements were also shared:
- An EVGC (Educational and Vocational Guidance Counsellor) Head has been appointed.
- Psychologists have been appointed to conduct Rubric Pre-Test and Post-Test assessments.
- A Projection Technique Session is scheduled for Tuesday at 12:00 noon.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening child protection, mental well-being, drug-abuse prevention and cyber safety awareness in schools. The programme reinforced the importance of a collaborative approach among schools, counsellors, psychologists, parents and law-enforcement agencies to ensure the safety, security and holistic development of every child.
