Kargil Vijay Diwas

On 27 August 2026, Kargil Vijay Diwas was solemnly observed in the premises of Himalaya Public Sr. Sec. School to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation. The assembly commenced with a heartfelt homage to the martyrs. Principal Ms. Aruna Sivaraj paid floral tribute by garlanding the portraits of the brave soldiers and lighting a ceremonial candle as a mark of respect and gratitude for their supreme sacrifice.

The NCC cadets prepared and displayed patriotic posters highlighting the courage, dedication, and valour of the Indian Armed Forces. A patriotic song was presented by the students and NCC cadets, filling the atmosphere with pride and patriotism.

As a symbol of remembrance, all the cadets and students lit candles to honour the martyrs and observed a moment of silence, expressing their gratitude for the heroes who laid down their lives to safeguard the nation. The programme concluded with a renewed pledge by all present to uphold the values of patriotism, courage, discipline, and selfless service inspired by the brave soldiers of our country.
