Himalaya Public Senior Secondary School celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm on 14th August 2025.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. K. Srinivasan, Regional Director of CBSE, who graced the event with his presence. The celebration began with the unfurling of the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem by the school choir.
The event included a well-coordinated NCC drill performed by the students, showcasing discipline, unity, and respect for the nation. This was followed by a series of cultural performances where students presented patriotic songs and vibrant dance performances.
The Head Girl of the school delivered an inspiring speech, expressing the importance of freedom and the role of youth in building the nation. The Chief Guest, Mr. K. Srinivasan, addressed the gathering and applauded the efforts of the school in nurturing responsible citizens. He emphasized the value of education and patriotism in today's world.
The school Principal, Ma’am, also addressed the students and motivated them to strive for excellence and contribute positively to society.
On this special occasion, the school took a noble initiative where students donated food items to the Robin Hood Academy, which works for the welfare of underprivileged children. The students actively participated in this cause, reflecting the true spirit of Independence Day—freedom with responsibility and compassion.
The day was a memorable one, instilling a sense of pride, responsibility, and patriotism in every student.
