Let's salute the nation on this auspicious day.
Independence was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect in Himalaya Public Senior Secondary School.
On this occasion Mr Bijoy Kumar, SHO of Sector -7,North Zone was the Chief Guest ,Academic Director Ms Ritu Bansal, Principal Ma'am MsArunaSivaraj and AdministratorMa'am, MsRadhaRatnam graced the occasion and were escorted by the NCC cadets.
To Commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom.
This event was full of patriotism and enthusiasm that kindled a sense of love for our country within the children. It also reminded us of the immense sacrifices of those who gave up their lives for the freedom of India. Some students performed a patriotic song, some performed a patriotic dance, and some dressed up as freedom fighters and played their roles. The event resonated with the percussion instruments and echoed with the patriotic fervour and zeal. The Principal, Ms. ArunaSivaraj, addressed the gathering by reiterating the way our brave freedom fighters sacrificed their lives, happiness and families – just so we could enjoy the taste of liberty. She encouraged the students to remain Indian at heart, and keep the flag of the nation flying high as the citizens of future. The academic Director,MsRitu Bansal encouraged and motivated the children and insisted on hard work for the development of the country.
Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
