Workshop on "All About Women Safety: Good Touch and Bad Touch
A workshop on "All about Women Safety: Good Touch and Bad Touch" was conducted at School for girls, aimed at creating awareness about personal boundaries and helping students identify inappropriate behaviour. The workshop, led by teachers, covered the following key areas:
- Understanding Good and Bad Touch: The session explained the difference between good touch (affectionate or protective) and bad touch (unwanted or inappropriate), helping students recognize unsafe situations.
- Body Autonomy and Personal Boundaries: Girls were educated about their rights over their bodies, stressing that no one should touch them in ways that make them uncomfortable.
- How to Respond to Unsafe Touch: Practical guidance was given on how to say “No,” get out of unsafe situations, and report the incident to a trusted adult.
- Seeking Help and Support: Students were provided with information on whom to approach for help, such as parents, teachers, or helpline services, in case they face any unsafe situations.
The session was interactive, with students participating in role-plays, sharing experiences, and asking questions. Educational materials were also provided to reinforce the key lessons.
