World Health Day was celebrated in the School on 6th April 2023, wherein students were sensitized to remain healthy by eating nutritious food, fruits and vegetables. They were made aware about the importance of physical exercises to remain fit & active. The special assembly was organised in which students recited rhymes and speech, conveying the message of healthy eating habits. The students also spoke about how one can ensure a healthy lifestyle by adopting simple measures like balance diet, exercise and proper nutrition . A session was also organised by special Doctors from Tobacco control cell for classes VI -VIII on the topic 'Healthy Mind Dwells in a Healthy Body' shed light on the importance of healthy eating habits, adequate rest and hygiene was explained. Students learnt about common health problems, with an emphasis on good eating habits and the importance of sports & exercise in our daily lives. Students also pledged to keep their mind and bodies healthy. A workshop on 'Self Discipline and Healthy lifestyle' was conducted for the students. .The workshop was headed by S.H.O, Mr.Bhupesh Kumar . He guided students regarding the need of Personal hygiene; harmful effects of drug addiction ,Social media addiction and alcoholism. He also stressed that a person can only be successful if she/he strictly live a healthy and discipline life. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment; hence it is the key to success. In order to extend the awareness in surrounding areas,Students took out a rally using placards with slogans written on them and enthusiastically recited the slogans like 'Eat Right Be Bright' and 'Good Health Adds Life to Years', as they went around the neighbouring areas. There were several activities which were pursued in the class to reiterate the importance of healthy eating habits. School Principal, Ms Aruna Sivaraj, also apprised the students about following a healthy lifestyle. She added, Laughter is the best medicine for good health. So, we should keep calm by overcoming anger, greed, fear, envy and enmity.
