World Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd every year to encourage people to pledge support Environmental Protection. On this day, earth day organizations' organizers coordinate different events across 193 countries in the world with the collaborative efforts of many other organizations. The theme of World Earth Day 2023 is "Invest in our planet".

Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22nd, 1970 and has been observed every year since then. This day gives us an opportunity to stop and reflect on the state of Earth, the planet we call our home. It gives us the opportunity to think about ways in which we can protect our planet from further deterioration. We celebrate our day to pledge our support towards saving our future generations from the calamities caused due to the neglect of our planet.

Himalaya Public Sr. Sec. School conducted various activities such as - Special morning assembly, Pledge, poster and slogan making competition, Speech competition, debate, competition, poem writing & recitation, etc. in the month of April. The program was a huge success under the guidance of our principal, ma'am Aruna Shivraj.C
