Sports Day for Teachers

Games and sports have become an integral element of present day education. They teach them the qualities of discipline, sportsmanship, team spirit and leadership. They also enhance the physical and mental development.

Himalaya Public Senior Secondary School celebrated the Sports Day of teachers amidst a lot of fun and frolic.

The teachers got an opportunity to prove their physical fitness by participating in races. They proved that age is no bar for running and winning on the tracks. There were also a Mixed Relay, Chain game, Pithoo Garam, Ring Game forteachers.

The most exciting part of this happening day was the TUG-O-WAR. Teachers were thrilled to take part in the momentous occasion and worked hard to make it a success.

Overall, the day is meant to promote healthy competition, teamwork, and physical fitness, while also providing a fun and engaging experience for teachers.

In the end, the winners were awarded medals and certificates. The Principal, Ms Aruna Sivaraj, in her address to the teachers laid emphasis on the need to participate. She said that it is not important to win. It is participation that makes all the difference. She congratulated her team of teachers and Admin Staff for a successful afternoon.
