National Cadet Corps (NCC) Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)

National Cadet Corps (NCC) Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) was conducted from June 8th, 2024 to June 17th, 2024 under the guidance of Colonel Atul Maithani 46 cadets participated in the camp, with 26 boys from the Junior Division and 20 senior boys. The camp served as a platform to hone their discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills in a stimulating environment.

*Camp Activities*
The camp curriculum offered a diverse range of activities designed to cater to the holistic development of the cadets.
* *Physical Training and Sports:* The day commenced with invigorating PT sessions, followed by inter-squad competitions in volleyball, kho-kho, and other sports. These activities not only enhanced physical fitness but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among the cadets.
* *Life Skills and Discipline:* Inculcating discipline is a cornerstone of NCC training. The camp emphasized punctuality, adherence to instructions, and maintaining a clean and organized living space. Cadets learned valuable life skills like self-reliance, time management, and following a structured routine.
* *Weapon Training and Drills:* Senior Division cadets received theoretical and practical training on handling rifles and unarmed combat techniques. Additionally, drill sessions instilled a sense of order, precision, and synchronized movement, building a foundation for effective teamwork.
* *Cultural Events and Awareness Initiatives:* The camp wasn't just about physical challenges. Evenings were dedicated to cultural evenings showcasing singing and instrumental music talents. A group of cadets took the initiative to create a Nukkad Natak (street play) on the critical issue of "Clean Yamuna - Save Yamuna River." This play not only showcased their creativity and theatrical abilities but also served as a powerful tool to raise awareness about environmental consciousness.

*Outcomes* The NCC CATC camp proved to be a transformative experience for the participating cadets.
* *Enhanced Discipline and Teamwork:* The emphasis on punctuality, following orders, and coordinated drills instilled a strong sense of discipline. Collaborative activities like sports and play preparation fostered effective teamwork and communication skills.
* *Leadership Development:* Through participation in various activities, cadets were encouraged to take initiative, demonstrate responsibility, and motivate their peers. This provided a platform for potential leaders to emerge within the group.
* *Social Awareness and Patriotism:* The Nukkad Natak on the Yamuna River highlighted the importance of environmental responsibility. Additionally, throughout the camp, emphasis was placed on understanding NCC's role in national security and their duties as responsible citizens.

*Closing Ceremony*
Colonel Atul Maithani presented certificates to all participating cadets, acknowledging their successful completion of the NCC CATC camp and their active participation in various activities. The camp culminated in a strengthened sense of camaraderie, a deeper understanding of NCC values, and a spirit of dedication towards serving the nation.
