Mock Drill

Preparedness for any kind of disaster is must as disasters can occur anytime and cause a lot of damage. Therefore, time to time training sessions are required to keep everyone updated and receptive. In this context, a Fire Evacuation Drill –cum-training session was organized for the students.

On the sound of the hooter, the students along with the teachers, started moving out of the classes and reached the playground area within the span of 4 minutes. The whole building was evacuated and the students assembled in the safe area. The volunteers of the Disaster Management Committee, which included teachers as well as students, ensured that no child or any other person was left unattended in the building.

After everyone assembled in the playground, a few of the students and the teachers were given training of using the fire extinguishers by creating artificial fire. The HOS of the school Madam Aruna Sivaraj , also addressed the students and advised everyone to be alert and face every adverse situation without getting panicked.

Overall, the drill was a successful training session and put everyone on toes so that each one can help others to their best capacity.
